Drapery: The New Black

Here are some (really awful) pictures of my curtain skirt. (per Jill's request -- Hi Jill!) It's definetly not perfect -- the hem turned out a little funny, but it is still fun to wear. I hope someone comes up to me sometime and says "I have a curtain at home just like that!!"

Silly, Sarah. No one is going to say, "I have that curtain at home." They're going to say, "I gave a curtain just like that to Goodwill!" HAHAHAHAHA. I LOVE it.

Wow! That is a great skirt! Did you have a pattern? Same thing with the backpack! How do you do this?!

Hi Mary, No, I don't have patterns. I usually use something I already have as a general guideline. For the skirt, I lay a skirt I like on top of the fabric and cut around. For the backpack, I deconstructed his old one and used the pieces as guide for cutting new pieces.
